The Church of God in Bessemer, AL was organized in 1993. To begin with, services were held in members homes, but God quickly made a way for the purchase of a small four room building in which to worship.  In 2003 the Lord again made a way and allowed land to be purchased for a new building to be built. 

On December 17, 2003 the first tree was pushed over on the new property to make way for the construction of the new facility. Construction commenced in the beginning of 2004. On April 11, 2004 we were able to move into the new facility.  Shortly after that the fellowship hall was joined to the main building making the structure as you see it today.

God has richly blessed the Bessemer congregation with a place to worship and to grow.  We want to be a “Soul Saving Station” where everyone can know and understand all that God has for us and how we can be pleasing to Him.  We have been commissioned to “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:19,20)
